Behind every successful change to a better life is time spent executing hard work, dedication and determination to develop and implement a plan for change. Nothing comes without a price. To attain your goals, sacrifices need to be made. If you are not willing to do this, you need to accept the fact that your life will not change and your dreams will never materialize. No pain no gain.
I have met a few individuals, especially young adults, who head into life with the philosophy that the world “owes” them. They are expecting that everything will be easy, that they will achieve their goals without much effort and when this fantasy does not happen, they become angry. “Life isn’t fair.” is a comment I have heard hundreds of times. But guess what? Life is fair. How can that be? Life is not fair to everyone so that levels the field.
It is your choices that have brought you to where you now exist. It is your decisions that have now created the life you live. And it is your choice whether you will lay down and accept this world you do not enjoy, or whether you will make the changes needed to create a new and successful life you want. Your choice. I can not state that enough. Accept the responsibility of your actions and move forward. If you can not do this, then do not place blame on others.
If you need help, and we all do at some point in our lives, then find help. Doing this is not a sign of weakness no matter what this screwed up society says. In fact, it can be looked on as a sign of strength. You accept the fact that you can not do it alone and you take those steps needed to improve your life by finding something or someone to help you along your path of self-determination.
So, instead of sitting, feeling alone, pissed off at the world or laying down and giving up, find the resources that will make your life worth living again. If your dream is strong enough, you will find your destination.
